This blue has been in an old Brisbane family since the twenties. They have lovingly saved the seed and handed it down through the generations, and now I've got it.The flesh is a deep orange and is excellent for baking. Having been grown for smoother grooves on the outside makes it easier to peel.
I think I might just pop a couple of seeds in the groung today and save a few for next spring.

Hi Shell Bell, I have a few things in common with you, One My son who lives at Burpengary Has the most beautiful tortoiseshelle persian cat called Shellbelle, her name originally was Shelly and grand son kenny nick named her Shellbelle years ago when he was 2 he's 9 now. Kenny won first prize for a Ken's Special pumpkin in the Toogoolawah show this week end.
Secondly I love growing Pumpkins.
